Privacy Policy for Versal

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Versal (“the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a serialized-fiction reading app published by edwventures. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Versal you agree to this policy.

If you have any questions, contact us at edwventures@gmail.com.

Who we are

Versal is operated by edwventures. You can reach us at edwventures@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.

Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work. Specifically:

Account information. When you sign in, we collect the information needed to identify your account:

We do not use passwords. Sign-in is by one-time email code or by Google.

Reading activity. To keep your place and remember your settings, we store your reading progress (which chapters you have opened and how far you have read), your reading preferences (such as text size, line spacing, and light or dark appearance), and which chapters you have unlocked, your coin balance, and your daily reading ticket.

Purchase information. If you buy coins or a season, the purchase itself is processed by Google Play. We do not see or store your payment card or bank details. We receive a confirmation from Google (through our payments provider, RevenueCat) that a purchase was made, so we can add what you bought to your account.

Device information for guests. Before you sign in, the app stores a random identifier on your device so that reading you do as a guest can be carried into your account if you sign in later. This identifier is not linked to your name or email and grants no access on its own.

What we do not collect. Versal does not show advertising, does not use third-party advertising or tracking, does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or files, and does not sell your personal information to anyone.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

How your information is shared

We share information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:

These providers process data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or of edwventures.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account information and reading activity for as long as your account exists. Records required for financial, tax, or legal reasons (such as a record that a purchase occurred) may be kept longer where the law requires, in a form no longer linked to your reader account.

Your choices and rights

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls that limit who and what can read your data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if a problem arises.

Children’s privacy

Versal is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

The app is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. By using the app, you understand that your information will be handled in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
